Formula One: F1 espionage row to go to appeal, page 1
This just in. All the bickering and public attention over the spy saga has forced Max to rethink their initial decision. This is going to get ugly. Bring it on fellow forum-ites.
I'm sorry, but all this serves, is for me to further loose interest in F1. I am beggining to have enough of this "tit for tat" argument between Ferrari and McLaren. Both tems should start behaving like men and put a stop to this.

THIS IS BAD...
Do you have to keep laughing???
ROSS BRAWN - ITALY 2003
It seems FIA will give Ferrari a chance to present some evidence, something it did not do previously. Its puzzling but thats what the article says. I think the Ferrari people will get really imaginative to prove that McLaren has been using Ferrari design for its advantage. Although it seems justified, it is going to get potentially very very ugly.

This is interesting... The sad part is that it will not prove anything. I predict that McLaren will be fined a sum of $1.0 million for having MC as an employee but will not be forced to forfeit any points.
It is better to have won a WDC and be critized than not to have won at all...
Without a penalty is the same to say that mac did no wrong and so all that had been said by ferrari wasn't true enough.
The penalty will prove mac did wrong. I don't think ferrari wants to win taking off points out from mac and its drivers.

Yeah, they must really be pissed about something to stretch this so far. It does not seem to be about a disgruntled employee no more.
I agree F1 Fan... this is about unhappy employees at Ferrari and one employee at McLaren trying to make a meal ticket for himself. Unfortunately MM's Ferrari tether is causing him to be swayed by arguments that appear as shallow as Ferrari's attempts to understand why their employees would go as far as send design data to outsiders.
If Ferrari is still ticked about McLaren being alerted about the movable floor episode than they should drop it because they weren't legal to begin with. I have more doubts about this grey issue with respect to the moveable floor. There was no grey in creating an movable device that obviously was intended to influence the car's aerodynamic characteristics. This is no different that a moveable wing in my opinion. They just found a way to circumvent the FIA test but that doesn't make it legal.
As for MC... he'll rot because of his lack of judgement.

There is still too much steam in the issue, and it is only fair the case will go to a court of law, well, not in a strict technical sense, nevertheless, it will be looked upon by the lawyers in its merits.
I hope the outcome will not affect the sporting side of the things as they are (WDC & WCC points etc), however, I feel that insider dealings within McLaren need to be scrutinised yet. There is much more in it, and it is impossible to know the whole story without Ferraris delivering their line of argument.
Bring it on, indeed.

This can only benefit McLaren.
I think it was a really stupid move by Ferrari wich they will regret. Whining in the press and writing that letter will probably give McLaren an unjustified fine but there can never be a point deduction.
Ferrari will now lose their "given option" to nail McLaren in the coming year so it will be game set and match McLaren.
I need to ask 911 how you would feel if the roles were reversed and it was Mac that got shafted by the WMSC?

Do you really need to ask?

jagman who has been shafted? I think it is time for Ferrari to call it a day. Many think McLaren should have been found not guilty. The question is what do Ferrari want in real terms
? Not the justice reply.Perhaps they are angry at their own employees and have a guilt feeling. I am lost in as I can find no logic reason to drag this mattetr out further lets get on with the racing
The car is more important than the driver as LH will find out

Well said Van. This episode is dragging F1 into the gutter.

I'm not a fan of McLaren. If they were acting like Ferrari, I would bash them for sure. Ferrari didn't get shafted by the WMSC, they've done that all to themselfs. I can't believe Ferrari is acting this stupid. Unless they come up with some really solid new evidence, they'll lose even more credebility -if any left.., then management heads could start rolling at Ferrari. The deeper they dig into this, the more of their own sh*t will surface.
