Following Murray vs Nadal now... Early minutes, Murray's been already broken, though, and then just broke backSmile

Must be a good encounter

Congratulations to Murray and his fans, that's a big victory - if not by overpowering Rafa, then by its significance

If he could only follow it up without folding somewhere in semis...

Rafa's knees do not seem to hold it yet, I wonder if ever

It was tragic to see Nadal go. The 2 sets produced some scintillating stuff between two extremely competent players. I was really glad to see Murray not be defensive and mix it up and really make Nadal earn his points. Some of those points were quite amazing. I'm looking forward to a Federer v Murray final. That will be such an awesome contrast of styles and shots with two exceptionally good players right now. It could be a lot of fun. I'd stay up all night and watch that. Of course I did that with Murray and Nadal too Wink

I watched Federer vs Davydenko yesterday. The way Federer recovered from the beating he got in the first 45 minutes was just awesome. It showed the mark of the champion he is. Just amazing mental strength, aided by powerful groundstrokes and dependable serve. Davydenko had his moments, but Federer came good whenever it mattered. I think it's going to be tough to beat Federer if he plays like this.

I'm afraid odds are not in favour of Murray winning it

But at least they won't matter Sunday morning, the play will Smile

Bring it on

Murray has been playing really well of late, but Federer will do better in long matches. If Murray can win 2 of the first 3 sets, then he may be in with a chance. I expect it to be a Federer win in four/five sets.

Another Aussie Grand Slam for Federer. Clap

The first two sets was easy for him but the third must have kept many on their toes. Cool

Federer's in a different league to everyone else, there's no-one who can challenge him when he's playing well, he'd need to be playing at 70% and the other player the best match of their life. The guy's a legend!

I thought Murray was playing at 70% yesterday -- obviously not good enough to beat an on song Federer. I was really hoping to see an upset. Not because I don't like Federer, more because I want to Murray to win one. After all being a part of the Commonwealth I have to support a Brit. Big Grin

Let's put Murray's performance into perspective - two Grand Slam finals in a row, and he's only 22

I mean he begins to impress sceptics

Let's wait for Wimbledon this year, then

I would say wait until next year. Though if he earns a slam title this year then hell yeah... That'll be something else.

Of course he has got odds against him for Wimbledon 2010. However, there is his home court. Nearly so

I just don't think Andy's got the game to win in Wimbledon. He'll be perennially talked about but I don't think he'll ever win one on grass. Australia and USOpen on the other hand are I think his best bets. I do hope he'll hook, line and sinker one of 'em this year.

Though Federer looks like he's in ominous form for the rest of the year. He can only get better from here. He's on a comeback blaze. The dude looks fresh as a morning dew. Crazy. Will he be unequaled for a long time to come? Hard to say. We were saying that about Sampras at one point.
